Seeds etc to get

Potatoes: Have 270 already at TUE ready for chitting, see here:

http://utopiaexperiment.pbwiki.com/Potatoes

Will need 130+ more, about 7 to 10 kg of seed potatoes dependent on size, mostly maincrop varieties. Given a decent harvest we should get 500+ kg of crop, enough for 1 kg per person per week.

Onion sets: Have already planted 5 x 4 m rows of autumn sets, have about 100 of own sets, need at least 300 more spring planting sets, possibly double that.

Shallots: Have already planted 50, need a further 200+ suitable for spring planting. I probably have that many but think I will augment with some purchased stock.

Garlic: Should have enough planted already but friends near Aberdeen say autumn planting of garlic is iffy. Have enough spares in case we need to plant more but might buy a variety or two suited for spring planting (most garlic prefers to be planted in autumn to get a decent crop).

SEEDS
